March of Dimes Canada - North Bay - Acquired Brain Injury Services: Located at 101 Worthington St. E (Administration Phone: 705-478-8664), they offer crucial supports for daily living, including in-home personal care and transitional life skills training for individuals 16 and older.

Home Modifications: If you require mobility aids, ramps, or roll-in showers, reach out to local occupational therapists to safely redesign your living space. 

2. Peer Support & Community Connection

Brain Injury Association of North Bay: Affiliated with the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA), this local charity offers a Peer Support program connecting survivors with others who have lived experience. You can reach their Peer Support line at 705-840-8882. 

3. Medical & Neuropsychiatric Care

NBRHC Neuropsychiatry Clinic: Located at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, this clinic provides diagnostic assessments and treatments for cognitive and psychiatric symptoms stemming from brain injuries. A doctor's referral is required.

Brainworks - Client-Centred Rehabilitation: A preferred provider for WSIB clients, they offer comprehensive assessments and rehabilitation plans.

HOLES IN THE BRAIN

No holes in Bennett's brain in 2012. Neck - spine injury then jaw lesser damaged than after 2012. Internal organs healed. Left wrist. Right hand. Later injuries documented caused by NB-OT Labs over Univision Labs 

"Holes" in the brain generally refer to one of two things: actual areas of tissue loss (lesions) or functional "cold spots" showing reduced blood flow and activity. Causes range widely, from normal aging and chronic stress to strokes, infections, and rare diseases.

Substance Abuse: Opioids, cocaine, and other substances can accelerate tissue loss and disrupt normal brain function. 

2. Physical "Holes" (Brain Lesions)
These involve actual tissue loss (atrophy) or cavities left by damaged cells. 

Stroke or TBI: Disrupted blood flow starves brain tissue, leading to dead cells and visible atrophy on an MRI.

Infections & Abscesses: Severe bacterial or viral infections can destroy local tissue, leaving behind visible cavities.

Prion Diseases: Extremely rare diseases (like Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease) cause proteins to misfold, triggering widespread cell death that gives the brain a sponge-like appearance.

Tumors & Radiation: Aggressive tumors or radiation therapy can physically alter and destroy healthy surrounding tissue.

3. Surgical Holes (Burr Holes)

Sometimes, "holes" refer to a procedure neurosurgeons perform. Burr holes are small, deliberate holes drilled into the skull to relieve intracranial pressure, drain blood (like a subdural hematoma), or access the brain for a biopsy.
